The Team:

As Grab continues to navigate macroeconomic uncertainties like COVID, our spending with external partners and suppliers continues to rise. We are a small but mighty and collaborative team that strives to contribute to a forward looking and future ready Procurement organization within Grab. 

The Role:

As a Procurement Intern, you will be actively involved in co-creating Procurement dashboards and presentation templates, with an intent to automate it with little to no effort in the future. This role will also provide the candidate a meaningful exposure to the world of procurement at the regional office, supporting regional Category Managers (Technology Sourcing) in developing their procurement strategies. 

You will gain useful skills in understanding Grab’s technology purchasing requirements that align to Grab business strategy. With Procurement as key supporting function to an organization and strong connection to Finance, you will gain useful experience for your future career opportunities. 

What You Will Do

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Crunch data from multiple sources, Cleanse outlying or erroneous data.
  • Analyze, link and segment data sets to provide meaningful insights and trending to the Category Leads.
  • Support Category Managers on data mining specific transactions that may generate additional insights.
  • Ad-hoc support to Category Managers on execution of category strategy.

  • Putting data principles into real-world use.
  • Internal and External Stakeholder engagement helps develop better business partnering and supplier management.
  • Supporting Category Managers in developing playbooks for regional sourcing strategies will gain you better experience in corporate presentation requirements.
  • Gain insight to sourcing activities and processes, useful for future corporate purchase experience. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Only for candidates who are available from Jan 2022.
  • Undergraduate in Business Admin/ Finance/ Technology/ Data Analytics or other relevant courses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Advanced knowledge of Excel required (e.g., pivot tables, running Macro etc.).
  • Candidates that can demonstrate a high level of integrity, fast learner.
