The Programme

The trainee will have the opportunity to work with experienced Public Health Managers & Consultants to support the design, development and delivery of consulting projects to our clients in the healthcare industry, mainly global health donor organizations and governments.

Assignments range in complexity from evaluating and scoping opportunities, research analysis and problem solving to assisting the development of recommendations and presenting them for clients.

Depending on the nature of tasks, you may work closely with other business units including the Consulting, Primary Intelligence, Real World Insights, Data and Technology Solutions teams. 

What You Will Do

  • Assist with business development (e.g., opportunities identification and scoping) and proposal writing for untapped public health segments - Conducting primary and secondary research and performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify client issues and develop client recommendations.
  • Support Public Health project delivery - Creating reports, presentations and other client deliverables, and supporting client meetings and workshops.
  • Support Strategy Development - Developing strategies and evaluating opportunities for global health donor organizations, life science companies, and governments in developing Asia markets. 

Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme:

  • Develop intermediate level of knowledge in one or few of these areas: healthcare, health economics, public health, public policy, epidemiology, life sciences.
  • Understand who are the main global health organizations (e.g., donor/funding agencies, NGOs), governments (e.g. policymakers, regulators) and life science companies.
  • Good degree of comfort with handling data sets (qualitative & quantitative), finding insights in unstructured data, and rapidly evolving project focus / tasks.
  • Develop strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop strong interpersonal skills for working in teams and within the organization.
  • Develop strong problem solving, analytical & project management skills. 

Required Skills and Abilities

Degree in relevant studies, e.g., healthcare, sciences, or business.
