The Programme

Health and fitness first: We encourage a healthy, fit lifestyle with free access to the gym. In addition to a free gym membership, our team members also have the option to enter into races such as the Argus and various trail runs that happen throughout the year.

Flexibility: Time is a precious resource. We believe team members should have the option to spend it wisely. This is why we have implemented a remote working system and flexible working hours.

Study Support: We offer our team members full cover for their Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) studies. In addition to financial support, we also provide team members with the necessary study leave as well as any required guidance.

The Role

We are looking for new trainees to join our ever-growing team in our Cape Town office for the 2023 Year - (Start Date first week January 2023)

This is a three-year trainee contract that will allow you to complete the practical working requirements to get your CIMA Qualification.

Whilst working you will be given the time and support needed to complete the exam aspects of CIMA.

What You Will Do

\r\n

Monthly accounting and processing for SMEs.
Payroll processing via Simple Pay.
Legislative processing (i.e., All SARS types of returns - VAT, PAYE, ITR).
Engaging with clients and solving accounting problems.
Provisional Tax calculations and discussions with clients.
Communicating with clients on accounting needs and processing. Building strong client relationships.
Adhoc accounting project work, queries and advice as requested from clients.
Providing financial management support to SMEs.
A pretty cool working environment and culture.

Required Skills and Abilities

\r\n

Be someone who wants to learn and is willing to take on new challenges. This will suit someone who enjoys the idea of working with Startups and Small businesses.
Someone who wants to learn and grow and has a good knowledge of working on computers and the ability to learn various software packages.
Degree/Honours Degree in Management Accounting or Accounting.
