What You Will Do

  • Handle incoming customer queries of all kind, leaving a superior customer experience each and every time.
  • Building strong long-term relationships with customers in your portfolio will allow you to better understand their needs, anticipate on issues and spot opportunities for mutual growth.
  • See a problem merely as an opportunity to differentiate yourselves, building trust by going beyond the expected to find a solution.
  • Complete proactive and self-initiated face to face visits with customers for client maintenance, and resolution of specific issues.
  • Follow up on commercial opportunities where your enthusiasm supports your expertise and customers will grant you their cargo because they know it’s in safe hands.
  • Execute new customer on boarding process to the standard required based on the specific activities outlined.
  • Handle specific shipment, transport plan and documentation exceptions within agreed timelines, including keeping the customer informed.
  • Ensure that detention is raised where relevant.
  • Actively promote e-commerce to customers as well as serve as e-commerce focal.
  • Provide commercial input and execute completion of agreed waivers.
  • Manage handovers with GSC customer service teams.
  • Identify and implement improvements relating to processes in which front office and GSC are involved.
  • Provide relief backup to other customer service teams when required.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Degree educated.
  • An energetic candidate who will grow along with the company.
  • Logistics or Shipping background.
  • Effective communication skills i.e. verbal, written as well as proficiency in English.
  • Open minded and ability to handle change.
  • Proactive, energetic, passionate and fast to learn new things.
  • Capable of building solid rapport over the phone.
  • Able to build and maintain a strong network of customers.
  • Capable of overcoming objections.
  • Confident in making decisions.
  • Team player able to work under pressure and stay organized with the ability to prioritize.
