What you will do 

As a Regional Indirect Supplier Manager Intern at Micron Technology Inc., you will be part of a cross-regional team responsible for supporting implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiation.

You will support supplier benchmarking analysis, survey market insights to formulate and establish should-cost model that enable data driven decision making and deliver significant value across procurement. You will collaborate with various roles and teams across the enterprise to identify cost savings opportunities and provide recommendation to achieve cost reduction. 

  • Manage Supplier Relationship 
  • Identify and Implement Supplier-Related Savings Levers 
  • Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers 
  • Support gathering of market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders on a disciplined schedule 
  • Support Regional Procurement team to establish should-cost models that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace 
  • Participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
  • Coordinate with Regional Procurement team (where relevant) to support sourcing events/RFQ process 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Currently in a Degree Program in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering,  
  • Supply Chain Management, or related field of study 
  • **Available to intern for 6 – 9 months will be a plus 
  • Strong math, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills 
  • Good communication skills and a solid command of the English language. 
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
