Internship Project Title - Process development, film characterization and new generation equipment qualification for Metallization process used in 3D RG NAND technology. 
Description - Fab 10, Micron Singapore, is looking for high energy, self-motivated, result driven individuals in the role to support 3D NAND development activities in the of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) area.  

You will be associated with the activities of process development and optimization of a new technology transferred from R&D to make the device mature for high-volume production. You will partake in generating ideas, running experiment, characterizing newly developed film, collecting and analyzing the data to set a direction for reaching end goal of yield and output improvement. You will also be engaged in the state-of-the-art hardware installation and qualification as a part of getting ready for the new technology ramp.  

Scope - Develop skills on design of experiments (DoE), data analysis systems (e.g., JMP) and ability to analyze, conclude and communicate the recommendations in clear and crisp manner. Apply fundamental understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, physical phenomena and their direct application to CVD processes. Pick up data analysis skills and application to identify disruptive processes early, troubleshoot issues and sieve out opportunities for process improvement. Be introduced to surface and analytical characterization techniques in the industry such as TOF-SIMS, D-SIMS, XPS, SEM, TEM, etc. Provide support for advanced and new tool installation qualification. Maintain process margins as well as to test out manufacturability of next technological node solutions. 
Deliverable - To identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve the current process based on the experimental data and model. 

What You Will Do 

As a Process Intern at Micron, you will work on cutting edge Processes in our Manufacturing Site. You are will part of the Process Team where you will learn our industry leading processes and work on how to optimize and improve them. 
You will get to experience how we maintain area processes by supporting manufacturing and increasing our through put. In this position, you also see how we respond to production issues, implement solutions, reduce costs, and improve yields. You will be expected to perform process development work. Additionally, you will use statistical process controls and data analysis to support your project. 
Responsibilities Include, but not Limited to: 

  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to identify issues and resolve issues.
  • Learn in-depth knowledge of wafer patterning in 3D NAND Production.
  • Opportunity to craft and design experiments to produce solutions.
  • During the internship, you will see and learn how a global memory leader operates and runs its operations.

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Superb communication skills.
