We are looking for an exceptional Summer Graduate Intern who can work with external and internal customers to uncover and solve the difficult problems that lead to innovative and valuable new products and technologies. 

What You Will Do 

  • Will receive mentorship and technical guidance from senior engineers and provide technical assistance to an engineering team. 
  • Will assist with work on specialized projects within the engineering department over multiple engineering disciplines. 
  • Duties and responsibilities will be assigned according to the current site priorities and workload in the Engineering department. 
  • Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. 
  • Obtains system-level expertise for MKS RF/DC power delivery systems and products. 
  • Understands the characteristics and improvements of the developed product, develops test methods by using engineering backgrounds including development software/firmware functions, and realize them experimentally.
  • Writes a technical report and documents on the evaluation and communicate with customers or internal development engineers.  

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Graduate Student pursuing a valid degree program in which he/she will graduate with a Master’s Degree or a Ph.D. degree at an accredited university. 
  • Graduate Student who has curiosities in the field of Power Electronics, RF Amplifier design related to RF/DC power delivery systems, Electromagnetic circuits, or Digital Signal Processing. Broadly, Graduate Students who have electrical and electronic major knowledge and are interested in designing, implementing, and evaluating RF systems related to plasma engineering/physics. 
  • Good English communication skills are preferred. 
  • Must be able to work full week during the summer (July and August) and/or part-time during the school year. 
  • Must maintain enrollment in a degree-seeking program and Transcripts may be required to confirm eligibility.
