Nomura’s Global Markets business financial institutions, corporates, governments, asset managers and hedge funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in equity and fixed income securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products.

This program is a key pipeline for our Graduate Analyst Program in Asia. At the end of the internship, full-time offers will be extended to strong performers to return in July 2023, after graduation.
The Summer Internship program will commence in June 2022 and run for nine weeks in our Hong Kong office. You will be provided with orientation and induction training in the first week, which will typically comprise of business overview sessions where you will learn more about our products, businesses and meet with different representatives across the firm.
After the induction, you will join one of the Trading businesses within Credit and Equities. Our goal is to give you a meaningful internship experience and help you develop by gaining access to some of the best traders in Asia.
Traders sit at the heart of the markets business and are responsible for making markets to our wide spectrum of clients across banks, pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies and corporate clients. To effectively manage risks originating from both client transactions as well as principal views, traders need to build a deep intuition for financial markets and make risk decisions.
The strength and experience of our trading teams underlies our dominant position in several of these business in Global Markets APAC. We endeavor to provide interns with the same level of exposure as a first-year analyst, participating as a full member of the team. As an intern, we expect you to demonstrate passion and aptitude towards trading financial markets and display a strong commitment to Nomura's goals and values.
