Distribution Wholesale Intern

The Programme

The Distribution – Wholesale Team is looking for an intern who is able to commit for at least 6 months from May/June 2021. Successful candidate will be required to take a Leave of Absence from school.

He/she will be coached by senior asset management professionals and learn valuable international asset management industry practices. There will be ample opportunities to interact with seniors to deepen your understanding of the business & industry. This role reports in to the Head of Wholesale, Distribution. 

What You Will Do 

  • Coordinate sales and marketing activities such as sales training seminars, roadshows, client meetings 
  • Help the team to ensure that the virtual events runs smoothly and efficiently 
  • Provide support to the Business Development team to achieve their team-based sales targets 
  • Prepare client meeting papers and documents (reviews/ ad hoc presentations etc.) 
  • Carry out other general administration duties and manage all assigned projects 
  • Gather data on prospects, clients, competitors, and market conditions on market data-driven platforms and research papers published. 
  • Support LM in managing key client relationships and facilitating live opportunities  
  • Learn about Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System ( Salesforce) 
  • Extract data from the CRM system for analysis
  • Build reports in the CRM system  

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Penultimate students with a major in business/finance/economics related field preferred. 
  • Basic understanding of asset management Industry is a plus 
  • Communication skills - talk to the sales team, listening to their needs and presenting ideas and solutions to their requirements 
  • Problem solving skills - Inevitably, something will go wrong at an event. Being able to quickly solve the issue is required. 
  • Computer Skills – MS office programs; Excel, PowerPoint, Words 
  • Positive and high energetic individual with excellent interpersonal and writing skills
