Suning was founded in 1990 and focused on the commercial retail business operation. At present, Suning has become the largest retail service enterprise in China with more than 180 thousand employees.

Suning was founded in 1990. Through decades of development and transformation, Suning continues its business growth across six industries. They include: Retail, Real Estate, Media and Entertainment,Investment, Sports and Financial Services.

At present, Suning has two listed companies, namely Suning Commerce Group(002024.SZ) and LAOX Japan(ラオックス【8202】

Suning now ranks among the top three Chinesenon-state owned enterprises in China with close to $43.03 billion in annualsales(data comes from the report”China’s top 500 private enterprises in 2015” by ACFIC on August 25, 2015).

Suning’s Six Vertical Industries

Suning Commerce

Suning Commerce, as the Internet retailerbased on the O2O model, boasts 1,600 chain stores covering over 600 cities inChina, Hong Kong and Japan. Suning.com, its online platform, now ranks as the top three Chinese B2C platform (data comes from the annual report of Suning Commerce Group in 2015). Suning retail platform now offers 20 million SKU sincluding traditional appliances, consumer electronics products, supermarket,mother-and-baby care, general merchandise, financial and recreational products.Suning delivers its customer experience via 4 user interfaces: brick-and-mortarstores, PCs, mobile devices, or TVs at home.

Suning Real Estate

Suning Real Estate focuses on high-end realestate development and operation of contemporary urban space in 80 cities in China.

Of the hundreds of projects, four service-related projects include commercial real estate, residential real estate, culture and tourism real estate and logistics real estate.Three operations-related projects include luxurious multi-star hotels, shopping centers and professional property management.

Suning Financial Services

Suning Financial Services has built aconnected finance product portfolios both online and offline including payment account, investment and wealth management, consumer and business loans, crowdfunding, etc. It develops its business by acquiring insurance license, security license, and trust license to expand its reach into the connected finance ecosystem.

Suning  Media and Entertainment

Suning Media and Entertainment focuses on the new media, cinema, film andtelevision entertainment, etc. Suning Media and Entertainment targets at the cross-industry integration and management of commerce, culture, entertainment,film, media, technology, etc. Suning Media and Entertainment has built across-media broadcasting platform---PPTV, completed the film industry chain and established a number of cinemas.

Suning  Sports

Suning Sports, as one of Suning Holdings Group's significant vertical industries, takes advantage of Suning's Internet-basede-commerce, sports media, football club and other industrial edge and resources. Suning Sports Group empowers itself in the whole industry chain and sports ecosystem through strategic expansion and M&A. Suning Sports Groupis going to establish a leading sports media group and a world-class management group of sports industry by developing its upstream IP, enhance its core platform and expand the down-stream products.

Suning Investment Group is located in Shanghai with branches in Beijing, Nanjing, Hong Kong and Silicon Valley.
