Testing Engineer Intern - TikTok e-Commerce - 2022

The Programme

We are now looking for talented individuals to join us for this future position in 2022 - people who want to inspire creativity and co-create the future with TikTok.  

Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below:  

• Summer Internship - 09 May 2022 to 29 July 2022 (12 weeks).
• Off-cycle Internship - 01 August 2022 to 16 December 2022 (20 weeks).  

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to the two above internship periods.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for developing platforms, tools, and quality engineering processes to ensure quality and security of e-commerce products.
• Responsible for entire testing lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design review, formulating test plans, designing and executing test cases, conducting defect tracking and software quality analysis, etc.
• Participate in the development of automated testing tools/frameworks, design, and execution of automated test cases, automatically building test environments, and continuous integration.
• Ensure the quality of the system under test and strive to improve the quality and efficiency of R&D through the test process and method innovation. 

Required Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline - Experience in software development testing, with demonstrable experience in manual and automated testing.
• Familiar with software testing methodology, proficient in the usage of testing tools to debug and analyze software bugs and performance issues.
• Strong background in computer science and proficient in at least one programming language (Java/C/C++/Python etc.).  
• Good knowledge of Android and iOS hardware and OS features.
• Experience with data/web security testing and continuous integration/development is an advantage.

• Deeply passionate about quality engineering and delivering great mobile and web applications.
• Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
